Mocs down Mountain Lions 21-7

LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Southern College scored 19 goals over the first three quarters en route to a 21-7 non-conference men's lacrosse decision over Young Harris College Friday (April 19) evening at Bryant Stadium.

The Mocs improved to 7-8 while the Mountain Lions fell to 5-7. Young Harris will wrap up its inaugural season Sunday (April 21) when they travel to St. Johns, Fla., for a 1 p.m. match against the Florida Institute of Technology.
 
Florida Southern, which outshot Young Harris 65-18, scored five goals in each of the first two quarters to take a 10-2 lead at the half. The Mocs then put the game out of reach with a nine-goal third quarter.
 
Tyler Price and Ryan Ningard led the Mountain Lions with two goals each while Joe Appolonia, Mason McBroom and Matt Spadafora each tallied one. Mike Matthews recorded two assists while Appolonia, Price, Jeff Rivait and Adam Staniewicz had one apiece.
