Bears record 16-2 win over Young Harris

HICKORY, N.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne University recorded a 16-2 men's lacrosse victory over Young Harris College Tuesday (March 12) afternoon at Moretz Stadium.

The Bears improved to 4-3 while the Mountain Lions saw their winning streak snapped at three as they fell to 4-2. Young Harris returns to action Friday (March 15) when they host Ohio Valley University in a 1 p.m. match at the YHC Lacrosse Field.

The Bears scored five goals in each of the first two quarters as they took a 10-2 lead at the half. Matt Spadafora and Tyler Price each found the back of the net for Young Harris.

Connor Squires led Lenoir-Rhyne, which outshot Young Harris 49-19, with five goals as eight different players scored for the Bears.

Ryan Pickowitz recorded seven saves for the Mountain Lions in goal while Bobby Parker had two and Alex Naftal had one.
